Geometric Art-Kati Vilim
KATI VILIMvisual artists, born in Hungary, based in New York,Kati Vilim works with non representational geometric abstract imagery.In her work she is investigating the visual language as an abstract system, creating new content based on combination of algorithm, colors and structures composed of ratio and rhythm of geometric shapes. Her media range from traditional techniques as oil painting, to site -pecific multimedia installation and digital animation.Kati Vilim received her MFA from University of Fine Arts, Budapest, Hungary and Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ.Her work has been shown at galleries and art institutions in the United States and Europe, just as in the Sheldon Museum, Lincoln, NE, Paul Robeson Galleries, Rutgers, Newark, or Pen and Brush Gallery New York.
Her work is also held in collections in collections among others as in Vass Collection, Yuko Nii Foundation Collection, Eileen Kaminsky Family Foundation Collection.
